UAF Trails and Greenway Plan

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is well-known for its North Campus recreational trails and hired Corvus Design to draft a Trails and Greenways Plan to guide them in developing their network of connections on the Main Campuswell. The goals of this effort encompassed a desire to accommodate direct routes between buildings and parking lots, create connections and spaces that enhance the campus experience, promote non-motorized use on campus, and support UAF’s wellness initiatives. Corvus Design organized a week of meetings to kick off the project and met with over twenty different trail user groups on-campus and within the community. With the input from these meetings and direction from the UAF Project Team, Corvus Design developed a master plan that provided a thorough existing conditions analysis of the trails and connections on the Main Campus and outlined extensive potential future improvements, with prioritizations.
