Herman Leirer Multi-modal Trail

The Herman-Leirer Road Corridor connects the Exit Glacier contact area of Kenai Fjords National Park to the Seward Highway. Corvus Design provided pre-conceptual, conceptual design, and value analysis services for the National Park Service for a proposed multi-modal trail parallel to the road within this corridor. We led the stakeholder and public process component, led the trail design in coordination with subconsultant trail experts and contributed materials and expertise to the Value Analysis phase. A unique complexity in the project was the need to coordinate with multiple property owners within the road corridor, with multiple stakeholders with different trail needs and desires, and multiple agency partners whose land the trail goes through.
