Corvus Design provided construction document services for the ADOT&PF’s Northern Region on the realignment of Margaret Avenue in Fairbanks, Alaska. Work included an initial site visit and walk-through with ADOT&PF Staff, a meeting with adjacent landowners, and the development of a concept sketch into design drawings. This project included the redevelopment of two existing properties to allow for the realignment of Margaret Avenue into College Road to create a four way intersection. Design considerations included an adjacent landowner providing a decorative landscape element, pedestrian connections, site distance triangles, and ease of maintenance for the site and landscape design.
