Cruise Ship Terminal
|Client:||City and Borough of Juneau|
|Components:||Landscape Design, Master Planning|
Corvus Design master planned the existing Cruise Ship Terminal Uplands surrounding the Mount Robert’s Tramway to improve tour bus staging, pedestrian circulation, create open space and vendor areas, and improve public parking. This facility is a key port access for Juneau with a lightering facility and berths for two cruise ships. The project includes significant public participation and meetings with user groups. By working with tour operators the site has been completely reconfigured in association with new operations techniques to increase loading efficiency, safety and allow the creation of more pedestrian space. The improvements included a decorative pedestrian fence, seating, and plantings.
