Centennial Village Wellness Upgrades
|Client:||Cook Inlet Housing Authority|
Cook Inlet Housing Authority’s goal is “Independence through Housing”. Through the development of programs and quality housing, they hope to provide a solid foundation for their constituents to enhance their quality of life. The Centennial Village Campus is a development by the Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA) that provides elder housing in the Muldoon neighborhood of Anchorage. As a result of the growth of the campus, Corvus Design was hired to provide planning and design services for site amenity upgrades to provide better outdoor recreation opportunities for residents. These upgrades included developing additional pedestrian connections on the site and upgrading existing areas to allow easier all-season walking, the development of a pedestrian signage plan for the site, creation of a main outdoor amenity node that will focus on lawn-type games, social spaces and increasing community gardening spaces, and provision of outdoor amenity nodes at buildings currently without them.
