Juneau Transportation Center

Corvus Design provided construction administration services for this transportation center that Corvus Design principal Christopher Mertl designed before joining Corvus Design. The project included a three-story parking garage, a transit center, pedestrian plazas, a new streetscape, and the development of a community park. Landscape architectural highlights include a green roof on the transit center, Tlingit basket weave pedestrian paving patterns and guardrail design, and incorporation of concrete scoring patterns to illustrate historic property boundaries. This project received an American Society of Landscape Architects-Alaska Award for "Outstanding Professional Achievement" in 2012.
