The University of Alaska Fairbanks, while well-known for its North Campus recreational trails, hired Corvus Design and BDS Architects to draft a Trails and Greenways Plan to help guide them in developing their network of connections on the Main Campus as well. The goals of this effort encompassed the desire to accommodate direct routes between buildings and parking lots, to creating connections and spaces that enhance the campus experience, to promoting non-motorized use on campus and supporting UAF’s wellness initiatives.  Corvus Design organized a week of meetings to kick off the project and meet with over twenty different trail user-groups from on campus and within the community.  With the input from these meetings and direction from the UAF Project Team, Corvus Design developed a report that provided thorough existing conditions analysis of the trails and connections on Main Campus and outlined improvements and priorities.
