Also known as Evergreen Bowl, this area has cultural and historic significance before becoming Juneau's first park. Corvus Design is leading a multi-disciplinary team to renovate and restore this historic 3-acre wooded park located in downtown Juneau along Gold Creek. A series of public meetings guided the master planning effort to revitalize and update the park. Park elements were reconfigured to promote safety and better visual access through the park. New shelters, picnic areas, playgrounds, court games, accessible loop trails, a dog park, and new tennis and basketball courts replace the declining park facilities. The historic grandstand and ballfield is being restored and a nature play area will highlight park improvements. The project is currently in the design phase for the development of construction documents a team led by Corvus Design.
