Covenant House Alaska provides food, shelter and care to homeless youth in need, and the support and life skills they need to put their lives on the right track down the road. Corvus provided site and landscape design services for the construction of a new housing facility for homeless teens. An important component of the project was balancing a high design aesthetic with the sensitive and potentially unexpected nature of the tenants. An inviting entryway and enclosed courtyard create a welcoming environment as well as give staff the ability to monitor, control and help individuals down on their luck. We have been working closely with the client and architect to design meaningful spaces that also meet very specific needs.
