Covenant House

Covenant House Alaska provides food, shelter, and care to homeless youth in need and connects youth to the support and life skills they need to put their lives on the right track. Corvus Design provided site and landscape design services to construct this housing facility for homeless teens. An essential component of the project was balancing a high design aesthetic with the tenants' sensitive and potentially unexpected nature. An inviting entryway and enclosed courtyard create a welcoming environment and give staff the ability to monitor, control, and help their residents. The design was a product of working closely with the client, residents, and the project team to design meaningful spaces that met specific needs.
